BS”D
The holiday of Pesach (Passover), a holiday that is absolutely pivotal to our knowledge of our Creator, begins tomorrow night.
As the world is in turmoil - resulting directly from having forgotten from where we come and to Whom we are accountable - the messages of Pesach are ones that everyone needs to know of.
When G-d performed ten plagues, exquisitely, precisely orchestrated to repay the evil oppressors and murderers measure-for-measure, redeemed my enslaved nation from the depraved country where no slaves ever had hope of escaping and which had mercilessly tortured and killed them for so many decades, and then split the Sea for the newly liberated People, He taught the world many monumental lessons.
He taught us that not only did He create the world, but He oversees it constantly, and controls every minute happening. He taught us that He knows all thoughts and plans of man. That He never forgets any deed, and rewards and punishes good and bad in kind. That He is in absolute control of “nature,” always, and will change the “laws of nature” which He put in place, when He wishes to do so.
When He subsequently brought us to Mt. Sinai and gave us the Torah, He opened the heavens and showed us that there is none other besides Him. He spoke directly to all of us, millions of people, so we would know for sure Who He is.
When He fed us Manna - delicious and superbly healthful food which fell from Heaven daily for 40 years in the barren desert, a portion for each person - He taught us a lesson forever about His unlimited ability to sustain every living thing, no matter what, in any situation. It matters not what appears possible, nor how capable we are, or the resources we see available. But His blessing is dependent on our acting morally, according to His commandments.
And ever since then, on the first night of Passover, parents tell this all over to their children, and pass on the knowledge of the Creator, Who runs the world, Who is All-Powerful, and Who loves us.
Tomorrow night, we will sit with our children and relate the miracles of the Exodus from Egypt, as G-d commanded us to.
Tomorrow night, simply, we will teach them about G-d.
I hope that the world will join us.
