SAVE THE KIDS: Let’s not forget that we DID accomplish something very important in opposing Bill HR8404. Let’s keep trying as it goes to the House.
Our efforts always count. Now we have to call the Representatives in the House.
BS”D
On Tuesday night, after the catastrophic passage in the Senate of the bill which could destroy our society, (which went through after the amendments which could have ameliorated the damage, particularly the Lee Amendment, were all voted down), the Family Research Council talked about what this means.
I saw parts of that live event on their forum PrayVoteStand.org, and was most moved by a woman named Kate, whose passion was awesome. I didn’t get her last name, but I’m assuming she’s the Katy Faust quoted in the tweet I just found below.
Kate explained that the ones most hurt by this bill are the children.
She reminded us that bringing children into the world in wedlock and providing them a stable home with a married father and mother fully committed to each other is the way that G-d set up the world to run - to protect children! Children raised outside of this protective, nurturing, stable environment are so much more likely to fall prey to the current plagues of drugs, crime, suicide, teen pregnancy, depression, self harm, child gender mutilation, etc. Standing up for traditional marriage means not only taking a stand for G-d, but also for the kids, and for the continuation of society.
This reminded me of what I’ve mentioned here before. NONE OF THIS AWFULNESS WE SEE AROUND US JUST “HAPPENED.” There are people who WANT to destroy society as we know it. They’ve been working for decades to create societal change that would rip families apart and remove people further and further from their Creator. This is a global effort, led by the UN, and evil billionaires who are bankrolling it. It’s Satanic. It’s a war against G-d.
I’m a Jewish woman, but this so much bigger than about any single group. This is universal. There is a war against humanity itself going on.
I believe that most caring human beings would be on the right side of these issues if they truly understood them. The problem is that people have been fed lies by the media, and evil has been twisted to appear as kindness.
If you haven’t yet, please read these articles (and the links inside them.) They’re really critical to understanding what’s currently happening.
So, what DID we accomplish with all our phone calls to senators, being that 8404 tragically passed in the Senate?
• We stood up for G-d, which is what we are obligated to do, so we lessened the desecration of His Name that the evil ones cause.
• We helped to protect our communities from the physical destruction that is unleashed, spiritually, when these awful laws are made and good people don’t protest.
• We showed that there’s a large block of people passionate about this topic.
• We forced a debate (that’s why the vote was delayed a day) which made some people actually THINK about the issues, which they hadn’t done in years.
We know that there are huge forces doing their best (with lots of money) to steamroll this through. All we can do is try, like the Macabim of old. That’s what G-d asks from us. He will do the rest, how and when He sees fit.
So now we have to contact the Representatives, ASAP, because the bill is going to go to a vote in the House any day now. I’ll provide a list of contacts at the end.
We have to do our best, and contact the Representatives, even though prospects of “success” seem dismal. We have to try because G-d wants us to. Speaking up is a success in itself.
First, though, more about what Bill HR8404 actually means, so that you really understand why this is critical. First, from Family Research Council:

And from the Liberty Counsel’s site - this is the wording of a petition I signed, and I thought it was so important that I copy-pasted it.
Dear Member of Congress,
I am deeply concerned about the “Respect for Marriage Act.” I believe this is a political stunt with devastating consequences. As it is written, if just one state allowed incestuous marriage (e.g., between a father and daughter or mother and son), this bill would force all 49 states to recognize and respect that “marriage.”
Also, if only one state allowed child brides, this same bill would force the other 49 states to immediately honor those as well! This is a Pandora’s Box. This bill goes far beyond just a “repeal” of the Defense of Marriage Act. Instead, it will force every state under the threat of law to recognize any and all marriages. One state can dictate the policy for the entire nation.
This is a federal law enslaving all 49 states to the bad laws of just one state.
A healthy marriage is the foundation of society that teaches children how a man and a woman should interact and care for each other. But this bill will attack and destroy the foundation of our nation, which is critical to any society that cares for its long-term stability and health.
I urge you to vote against the so-called “Respect for Marriage Act.”
Here is an email I just received from the Liberty Counsel which elaborates on the effects of 8404:
On Tuesday, all the Democrats and 12 Senate Republicans bowed to the LGBTQ political thugs and passed a bill that will allow the Department of Justice (DOJ) as well as private individuals to sue religious institutions and people of faith. Now HR 8404 returns to the U.S. House where we have another chance to defeat it. Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) will bring the bill up for a vote within the week. We have a limited time to act. We are now targeting the House.
The day before, the Senate added the Baldwin-Collins amendment to bring together a few Republican votes under the false pretense that this amendment would provide religious accommodation. But this is a sham amendment.
On Tuesday, three amendments that would have provided religious liberty protections were defeated. These were offered by Republican Senators Mike Lee (UT), James Lankford (OK) and Marco Rubio (FL).
The Baldwin-Collins amendment does nothing to protect the religious liberty of individuals or anyone not working at an institution “whose principal purpose is the study, practice, or advancement of religion.” In other words, HR 8404 was drafted to target and disparage your faith.
This bill must now go back to the House of Representatives. The vote could happen soon.
We need to remind House Republicans the people DO NOT endorse the destruction of marriage or religious freedom to appease a rabid LGBTQ political agenda.
Send your faxes to urge the the House to VOTE NO on HR 8404!
HR 8404 forces every state and every American to accept, honor and obey the crazy “marriage” laws of any other state. That means California’s warped marriage laws—including pedophile marriages to child brides and same-sex marriages—WILL be forced on your state and on you, personally.
Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) offered an amendment to close the child bride marriage loophole in the “Respect for Marriage Act,” but that amendment failed. This should tell you everything you need to know about this bill.
HR 8404 specifically charges the U.S. Department of Justice to investigate and prosecute anyone who is accused of not honoring, accepting or participating in the “unions” outlined in this bill.
Section 5 (b) of the so-called religious freedom legislation states: “ENFORCEMENT BY ATTORNEY GENERAL — The Attorney General may bring a civil action in the appropriate United States district court against any person who violates subsection (a) for declaratory and injunctive relief.”
Equally damning, HR 8404 also specificallyallows so-called injured parties to sue private individuals who do not support, accept and participate in these sham marriages.
Section 5 (c) states: “PRIVATE RIGHT OF ACTION.—Any person who is harmed by a violation of subsection (a) may bring a civil action in the appropriate United States district court against the person who violated such subsection for declaratory and injunctive relief.”
Don’t let the DOJ & LGBTQ sue YOU for living your faith! Demand Congress VOTE NO on HR 8404!
California already allows adults to marry children of any age. As a result, there are several instances on the California marriage database of men in their 40s and 50s marrying elementary age children.
If you object to a pedophile marrying a child, YOU can be sued.
If you try to help these children escape their legal bondage to a pedophile, YOU can be sued.
If you refuse to bake a wedding cake or create a website for a same- sex “wedding,” YOU can be sued.
In other words, despite claiming to have a “religious freedom” exemption, this horrible bill targets individuals and most institutions.
We MUST stop this bill. As I said above, the House is poised to vote any day. We have ONE SHOT left at stopping this travesty from becoming law. There is no time to waste. Please, fax the House NOW and demand they VOTE NO on HR 8404.
Let me also say this—if this bill passes, we have other strategic plans. We will not remain idle. We want to defeat this bill. But make no mistake, we will not be bullied. What was meant to advance the LGBTQ agenda could backfire in the courts.
Help us stop this bill NOW, before it is too late. Even if you have contacted Congress before, please remind them again today, just before they vote, that we the American people REJECT the perverse bill HR 8404!
I am wondering, if G-d forbid the bill becomes law, if it would be “legal” for me to write what I’m writing now, anymore? It’s mind-boggling.
Here are the Representatives that seem most important to contact - the 47 House Republicans who voted in support of Bill 8404 in July.
Please try to call each one and urge them to VOTE NO this time!

Thank you so much for all you’re doing!
G-d bless you!
This is from Liberty Counsel. His analysis is quite disturbing and provides a very important reason to push back to protect the children. The statute will push pedophilia marriage across the U S.
This was earlier in the week.
"The Senate returns TODAY and is expected to vote THIS WEEK on a bill that will allow pedophiles to marry children, the codification of same-sex marriage and any other perversion of the sacred institution you can imagine.
Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY) is expected to force a vote this week on HR 8404, the (Dis)Respect for Marriage Act. This is the last week before the Senate’s Thanksgiving break. The battle lines are drawn. We MUST stop this bill.
HR 8404 will force every state to honor and obey the insane marriage laws of any other state—even if that state allows pedophilic marriages. In California, children as young as 10 years old have been married to grown adults in their 40s and 50s.
But because this bill also forces same-sex marriage on every state, Senate Majority Leader Schumer is bowing to the powerful LGBTQ lobby to pass this bill by THIS WEEK—no matter the consequences, or the pedophilic marriages that will result. Read on to hear from Trevicia, a former child bride, and what you can do to help girls like her. — Mat"
I called Darrell Issa’s hoping to get a live person to ask but just got the usual recording.
