I am sure you will agree that only G-d is meant to know your innermost thoughts. Not your employer. Not the government. There’s good reason that the Creator did not make our brains transparent.

One of the blessings we recite every morning praises and thanks G-d for not making us slaves. We are meant to have free will and to choose to serve Him, (and thereby earn infinite reward.) We are not designed for the purpose of serving humans beings.

Horrifyingly, the World Evilnomic Forum and their friends are excited to change this now. They plan for an entirely new reality, in which they seek to supplant G-d (Heaven forbid), know our most private thoughts and emotions, and control us by rewarding/punishing us for “right” or “wrong” thoughts.

They plan for us to wear special earpods that will gather our brainwave data, to be decoded. Oh, no big deal. Similar to a smartwatch!

If you think this is impossible, they inform us that the technology already exists.

If you believe that nobody will go along with it, they know otherwise. The evil ones are very good at portraying innovations that will ruin your life as things that will benefit you. Think of the productivity! Think of the health benefits!

This is unfortunately not science fiction, but the subject of astonishingly wicked real-life symposiums earlier this month at the World Economic Forum summit in Davos.

While I’m focusing here most on the ‘transparent brain’ idea, there’s much more. They talk of sensors that would stream your other personal health data in real time (for your own health benefits, of course.) Most disturbing of all, they speak of redefining life.

Doesn’t G-d alone create and define life?

The four presenters in the first video below all are very scary, but Nita Farahany worries me the most. She’s in a class of her own.

Everett Distinguished Professor of Law & Philosophy at Duke Law School, the founding director of the Duke Initiative for Science and Society^[1] as well as a chair of the Bioethics and Science Policy MA program.^[2] She is active on many committees, councils, and other groups within the law, emerging technology, and bioethics communities with a focus on technologies that have increasing potential to have ethical and legal issues.^[3] In 2010 she was appointed by President Obama to the Presidential Commission for the Study of Bioethical Issues.^[4]

Now watch her talk. With a big smile and honey coated words, Ms. Farahany paints your loss of privacy as having such awesome benefits. And well, yes, she admits it can be a bit terrifying when you first hear about these new ideas, but the benefits outweigh the drawbacks. Everyone will just promise to only use the newfangled powers for good, of course.

I’ve seen this work of fiction discussed often as bearing a striking parallel to our current situation, but never read it yet. Here’s the theme as listed online:

The grand theme of Animal Farm has to do with the capacity for ordinary individuals to continue to believe in a revolution that has been utterly betrayed. Orwell attempts to reveal how those in power—Napoleon and his fellow pigs—pervert the democratic promise of the revolution.

All this leads into the following video (which I did watch), in which the Morrisses skillfully take apart what the transparent brain technology would actually mean for our lives. I hesitated to share the link because I endeavor to stay very clean here, and there are parts I am somewhat uncomfortable with in this video. However, someone pointed out to me that those segments are critical because these aspects of our lives are ones that the evil elites are particularly eager to control. As in, the “shared wives and children” plan. Or, “you will own nothing and you will be happy.”

I found the original Davos World Economic Forum video which is referenced in the analysis above. It’s a separate talk from “Transforming Medicine, Redefining Life.” This one is called “Ready for Brain Transparency?” Seriously.

Our “friend” Nita Farahany, “neuroethicist,” features prominently here.

She explains that the technology already exists to decode brain wave data to reveal what people are feeling or thinking about - even to discover the PIN number to their bank account. Nita informs us that this brain wave information can be gathered through a headband, hat, earbuds, or a tiny tattoo behind the ear.

Closer to the end of the video, she talks about how important it is to “preserve safeguards.” But watch Nita laugh at 27:30 at the tongue-in-cheek moderator’s suggestion that “All CEOs will use this technology completely responsibly.”

She knows how funny it is to think this technology will be used responsibly. I do not need an AI brainwave scanner to see how hilarious the “responsible use” remark is to her!

(BW: Can’t we tell on our own when we need take a few moments to de-stress? Isn’t self-awareness key to good emotional and physical health? WHY would we want machines notifying us about our own feelings?)

But what's that unusual change in your
brain activity when you're asleep?
It started earlier in the month.
You send a text message to your doctor
with a mental swipe of your cursor:
“Could you take a quick look at my brain
data, anything to worry about?”

Your mind starts to wander to the new
colleague on your team whom you know you
shouldn't be daydreaming about given the
policy … you can't help it… but then you start to worry that your boss will notice your feelings when she checks your brain activity, and shift your attention back to the present.

You sigh with relief when the email she sends you later that day congratulates you on your brain metrics from the past quarter, which have earned you another performance bonus.

You head home, jamming to the music (BW: the video shows a person riding a bus, not driving a car), with your work-issued brain sensing earbuds still in.

When you arrive at work the next day, a somber cloud has fallen over the office.

Along with emails, text messages, and GPS
location data, the government has
subpoenaed employees’ brainwave data from
the past year. They have compelling evidence that one of your co-workers has committed massive wire fraud. Now they're looking for his co-conspirators.

You discover they are looking for synchronized brain activity between your co-worker and the people he has been working with. While you know you're innocent of any crime, you've been secretly working with him on a new startup venture. Shaking, you remove your earbuds.

😱 What a horrible life of slavery.

Nita informs us cheerily that it’s here already:

This is the future that has already arrived. Everything in that video that you just saw, is based on technology that is already used. Artificial intelligence has enabled advances in decoding brain activity that we never before thought possible.

You heard a lot about AI over the last few years, here at Davos it's been the talk of the hour. But I want to talk about it in a different way, which is the ability to decode brain wave activity. All that you think, you feel, is all just data. Data, that in large patterns, can be decoded using artificial intelligence.

Consider this: the average person thinks thousands of thoughts each day. As a thought takes form, (a math calculation, you are happy, you are tired, you are hungry), neurons are firing in your brain, in tiny electrical discharges. A particular thought takes hundreds of thousands of neurons firing in characteristic patterns that can be decoded with electroencephalography and AI powered devices.
