Pfizer and other drug companies’ VAST history of fraud, and how they’ve hurt us & our kids
The commercialization and ruination of the practice of medicine

I’m finally reading a book I bought a while ago, and it’s a page-turner. I would say this book is a must-read for everyone. It’s called “Overdo$ed America: The Broken Promise of American Medicine.”
The author, Dr. John Abramson MD, a member of the Harvard Medical School faculty, left his clinical practice in order to do the research for this book after coming to the realization that something was becoming increasingly wrong with the practice of medicine. He noticed that it was being commercialized by the pharmaceutical companies.
Dr. Abramson documents the moment where he lost his innocence. It was in August 2000, and for the first time, he discovered an article published in one of the foremost medical journals that was dishonestly recommending a drug.
The title, “Pravastatin Therapy and the Risk of Stroke,” and the abstract, were meant to lead the reader to believe that prescribing the statin drug Pravachol for their patients would lower the patients’ risk of stroke. However, perhaps because Dr. Abramson had spent time as a Robert Wood Johnson Fellow studying research design and statistics, and conducting research, he instinctively took a critical look, and noticed that the data provided in the article did not match the conclusions they were giving. He was utterly shocked that this misleading article had gotten printed in the New England Journal of Medicine.
For starters, he noticed that when the pre-study differences in conditions that predisposed a person to stroke were taken into account, (such as diabetes, high blood pressure, smoking, atrial fibrillation, and previous strokes) the reduction in stroke in the people taking the drug wasn’t even statistically significant. He had never before seen an article published in a major journal reporting findings that weren’t statistically significant.
Contrary to what the article’s title would make you think, the study only examined the effects of Pravachol on people who’d had a previous heart attack or unstable angina. But even among that population, Dr. Abramson calculated - based on the data provided in the article - that 1,000 post-heart attack patients would have to take Pravachol for a year in order to prevent about ONE stroke. This didn’t sound like a major finding. He then figured out that the cost of the 1,000 people taking the Pravachol to prevent this ONE stroke would be more than $1.2 million. (So many other, more effective, measures could have been implemented for this price, such as exercise and smoking cessation programs, to help many more people prevent many more strokes and other health problems.)
It got much worse, though. Dr. Abramson realized that there was great disparity between the people in the study and the population most at risk of stroke, whom the drug was being marketed for.
The average age of people in the study was 62, but the age at which most strokes occur in the population is much older: Half of men who have strokes are 71 or older, and half of women who have strokes are 79 or older.
But people in the study who were 70 and older and had taken Pravachol had 21 percent MORE strokes than people who got the placebo.
More: while 83% of the people in the study were men - only one out of six were women - three out of five stroke victims in the general population are women.
This matters very much, because it turns out that women in the study who got Pravachol had 26 percent MORE strokes then women who got the placebo.
And, while five out of six patients in the study were on aspirin because of their previous heart trouble, most people in the general population aren’t.
Tragically, among the people in the study who weren’t taking aspirin, the ones who received the Pravachol had 20 percent MORE strokes than those who received the placebo.
Dr. Abramson was extremely disturbed at the exploitation of doctors’ deeply ingrained trust in the integrity of the scientific information provided in medical journals.
While doctors prescribing Pravachol would believe they were lowering a patient’s risk of stroke, they would actually, perhaps, be raising the risk - and diverting attention and resources away from lifestyle changes and interventions which would truly lower their patients’ risk and improve their health.
All this subterfuge to line the pockets of the drug manufacturer.
It didn’t end there. Dr. Abramson found more and more examples as time went on - which eventually led to him writing his book in an attempt to alert the world. It was published in 2004.
But sadly, it appears that not enough people ever heard of this book or its message. The chutzpa of Pharma only grew, and the true practice of medicine continued to go down the drain as it was commercialized and corrupted.
It was fascinating for me to read about the Pravachol article published in NEJM and realize that the covid shots followed the same deceitful playbook.

Here is an excellent Twitter thread by Kanekoa on Pfizer’s history of fraud and corruption. It’s a mini-documentary in itself. Please click it and go through the whole thing - there are 41 parts to the thread, each one an integral piece of the story; documented evidence of deep corruption going back 30 years, until the present.
Here are screenshots of some of the parts for those who can’t access the thread.
Here is Kanekoa’s article, written a year ago, which has the older information from the above Twitter thread in it.
Here is my article about childhood vaccines:
Here is an excellent presentation by Dr. Paul Thomas showing a comparison of the health of vaccinated people vs. unvaccinated (we’re talking about traditional vaccines here.)
There isn’t a single randomized control trial with an inert placebo for any vaccine:
Dr. Paul Thomas’s last day in clinical practice in Oregon - very moving.
Saddest of all, what are uninformed parents now injecting in their children?
Wealthy businessmen going to WEF Davos are insisting on flights with UNvaccinated pilots. (this is from twitter) https://twitter.com/search?q=Unvaccinated&src=trend_click&vertical=trends
Brucha, you should post about this issue. There are a lot of pilot's organizations fighting the ubiquitous airline vaccine mandates including U.S. Freedom Flyers and Global Aviatin Advocacy Coalition. I'm sure that is a big factor in the current problem with air travel.
