Pandemic Amnesty? Of COURSE NOT. Nuremberg Trials are what we need.

Forgiveness without repentance invites more of the same behavior.

Emily Oster wrote a strange piece in The Atlantic which is getting a lot of attention.

She calls for all the terrible policy decisions during covid, which cost so many their very lives, and others their health, sanity, relationships, family businesses, educations, or jobs - to simply be forgiven and forgotten - because “we didn’t know.”

Emily Oster says:

Given the amount of uncertainty, almost every position was taken on every topic. And on every topic, someone was eventually proved right, and someone else was proved wrong. In some instances, the right people were right for the wrong reasons. In other instances, they had a prescient understanding of the available information.

The people who got it right, for whatever reason, may want to gloat. Those who got it wrong, for whatever reason, may feel defensive and retrench into a position that doesn’t accord with the facts. All of this gloating and defensiveness continues to gobble up a lot of social energy and to drive the culture wars, especially on the internet. These discussions are heated, unpleasant and, ultimately, unproductive. In the face of so much uncertainty, getting something right had a hefty element of luck.

Luck? What part did “luck” play in using previously established scientific information, research, and logic to guide one’s actions, instead of allowing oneself to be brainwashed and controlled by self-annointed “experts?”

Certainly, it was G-d granting those who got it right the wisdom to understand and Divine Help to escape the brainwashing, but that’s not luck. He helps those who earnestly search for the truth and request His help.

I would not call it “luck” that the children of my particular community were - thank G-d! - not made to suffer the lockdowns and prolonged school closures that ruined so many other children’s lives.

It was around May 2020 when my community realized that covid was pretty much over - but that we had to move forward on our own, because if we waited for the government to give us “permission” to lead normal lives, we’d be waiting for a very, very long time.

That’s called critical thinking, observing your surroundings and making logical deductions, and not being brainwashed by media. Normal, G-d given human abilities.

Thank G-d, our kids (in Brooklyn), and in other very religious communities who thought for themselves, did not suffer the learning loss, emotional trauma, and language development loss experienced by so many. I would not call that luck, but yes, I am very fortunate and blessed to live in a community that uses common sense.

Summer day camps and sleep away camps were opened in the summer of 2020 totally normally, and so were schools in September 2021. Masks were only worn for inspections. We knew we had natural immunity already. And we knew that kids weren’t at risk. And some of us knew that there was early treatment.

There were even some extra-brave schools that reopened for the kids at the end of Spring 2020, before summer vacation! They, and numerous synagogues and family businesses, were playing cat-and-mouse with government inspectors.

We did not like disobeying the law. But when the laws were arbitrary regulations made by men with an agenda, regulations which conflicted with our obligations to G-d or which harmed our kids, the obligations to G-d and family came first.

I remember having to sneak in to a shoe store to buy my kids shoes around June 2020 through a back alleyway, as small businesses were still not allowed to open, so they had to keep their front door locked, with the plate-glass completely covered from the inside.

Another covid memory is celebrating the holiday of Simchas Torah in the Fall of 2020 clandestinely, with black garbage bags covering the windows of the synagogues, as NY Governor Cuomo’s ‘only 10 people per house of worship’ rule was still in force.

Was it just ‘bad luck’ on Cuomo’s part that he kept liquor stores and big-box stores open without restrictions but shuttered synagogues? I think not.

And, similarly, getting something wrong wasn’t a moral failing. Treating pandemic choices as a scorecard on which some people racked up more points than others is preventing us from moving forward.

We have to put these fights aside and declare a pandemic amnesty. We can leave out the willful purveyors of actual misinformation while forgiving the hard calls that people had no choice but to make with imperfect knowledge.

Imperfect knowledge? Was that because the knowledge and voices which differed from the ruling narrative were systemically suppressed by censorship and shaming? The knowledge definitely existed.

Why didn’t you search for the knowledge, Emily? If I could find it, you could, too. Why did you pretend to be an “expert” if you were just guessing?

Moving on is crucial now, because the pandemic created many problems that we still need to solve.

I’ll say! But who are we trusting to solve these problems? The same “experts” who created them?

Ms. Oster’s own history is mixed. While she did advocate for school openings, which was good, she also publicly advocated for lockdowns, for family members to pressure each other to vaccinate, and for vaccine mandates for students, travel and work. How many died because of her words? Ms. Oster portrayed herself as an authority figure. That comes with a responsibility. But what she posted were her personal opinions, regurgitated from MSM fear, and there was no science to support them.

There is so much wrong with Ms. Oster’s amnesty request - including the insanity that in the very piece in which she requests amnesty, she continues to promote the deadly mRNA shots:

Another example: When the vaccines came out, we lacked definitive data on the relative efficacies of the Johnson & Johnson shot versus the mRNA options from Pfizer and Moderna. The mRNA vaccines have won out. But at the time, many people in public health were either neutral or expressed a J&J preference. This misstep wasn’t nefarious. It was the result of uncertainty.

I am not sure what to make of this strange example, and of her zero-acknowledgment of the harms of the mRNA “vaccines”.

Let’s take apart the request for amnesty.

First of all, we must differentiate between the true, malicious evil at top of the covid scheme, and the varying shades of gray beneath. Ms. Oster seems quite clueless that there are people who planned covid out. They are the first-tier defendants for Nuremberg 2.0. There is surely never any forgiveness for planned mass murder, oppression, and theft. Justice must be served.

Included in the list of top-tier defendants who knew exactly what they were doing, would definitely be Anthony Fauci, and former NY Governor Andrew Cuomo (who outlawed in NY the drug with a fantastic, decades-old safety record, known to work well against SARS-CoV-1 - hydroxychloroquine - in March 2020, killing tens of thousands for lack of early treatment, and murdered many more thousands of elderly people in nursing homes with a policy that was clearly premeditated genocide.)

Neil Ferguson of the Imperial College of London, whose wild death-prophecy mathematical modeling of pandemics had always been waaaay off, is another.

Notice Mr. Ferguson is part of WEF.

His utterly false predictions “led to” governments around the world shutting down their countries in March 2020. We know that Ferguson definitely knew he was speaking falsehood, because he himself famously did not keep the lockdown he forced the rest of the world into.

I write “led to” in parentheses, because surely many leaders were playing along with a game they were in on - like Canada’s Trudeau, a WEF trainee, and California’s Newsom, who also broke the rules he imposed on his people.

If you read up on German lockdown-maker Christian Drosten, who is their equivalent of Anthony Fauci, but with the “wonderful” addition of being the man responsible for the covid PCR tests, (which created the numbers to keep the lockdowns going), I think you’ll agree he belongs on the list of willful criminals, as well.

Mass lockdowns of society had never been tried before, because they were recognized to have harms that would outweigh any possible benefit. And when we say harms, we don’t just mean financial. We mean lives lost. More lives lost as a result of locking down than as a result of not locking down.

Of course, all this information has always been available to anyone who sincerely sought the truth.

There are many more names to add to the top-tier Nuremberg trials list.

One such person is Andrew Hill, who held the key in his hands to letting the world know the truth - that ivermectin is the answer to covid. He’d been tasked (unbeknownst to him, by rogue powers) with doing a meta-analysis of the studies, and reached the conclusion that ivermectin really works (of course it does - studies show an 80% decrease in mortality!)

But as the world waited to hear his conclusions in early 2021, Andrew allowed himself to be pressured (bought off?) by the powerful interests who wanted a different narrative, and he quickly changed his tune. How many millions of deaths are on his head, and on the heads of all the others who suppressed effective treatments?

People like Andrew Hill and (especially) his handlers - the WHO/Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation/UNITAID/the Pharma companies - who kept ivermectin from the world, and Fauci, Drosten, Cuomo, Newsom, Trudeau, Ferguson, and so many more - they deserve absolutely ZERO mercy or forgiveness. They need to be swiftly tried and publicly punished to the fullest extent of the law for crimes against humanity.

Then there are other people, who may or may not have known that they were pushing very harmful things. Only G-d knows what was in their hearts and minds. But they surely did not do their due diligence as public authorities in investigating the truth properly before setting policies or making public advisories. This is such a large category and there are greatly varying degrees of guilt here.

There are people like Ms. Oster, who probably was, and perhaps still is, pretty clueless. She advocated for schools to reopen. Wonderful. But she seems very in the dark about other things. Like the shots. (Why? Is she really?)

But there are doctors who knew.. who saw murder happening, but did not have the guts to speak out.

Then there are many, many doctors who didn’t know, who truly believed in the shots they pushed, because the data was manipulated to cause the doctors to think the shots were working, and that the people they saw in the ICUs were almost entirely unvaxxed (while the opposite was true.)

There are a vast number of ordinary healthcare providers who represented themselves as knowledgeable authorities to their trusting patients - as the government told them to - causing their patients to believe they had done personal research and found the vaccines safe and effective- while in reality they were parroting CDC talking points and knew nothing more than a layperson. While they did not act maliciously, they failed to do due diligence. In the absence of thorough research, they should have said “I don’t know.”

There are pharmacists who saw people die immediately after vaccination but still kept giving the shots. And there are other brave pharmacists who followed their conscience and stopped.

For each category of guilt, there needs to be different repentance/atonement/justice, and only G-d knows how to judge all this. I have no clue how it will be done.

But I DO know that Ms. Astor has it all wrong.

Before forgiveness comes repentance.

Teshuva - repentance - begins with stopping the performance of the sin. Then there is acknowledgment of guilt and expression of remorse. And finally, a resolve to act differently in the future.

Let’s see what parts of the repentance process Emily Astor and the others who got everything all wrong have completed.

Um.

Which doctors have you seen who promoted the shots, publicly reversing themselves and expressing their deep regrets?

Which “experts” who promoted lockdowns and masks with no truthful scientific evidence to back them, have offered sincere apologies for the irreversible harm they’ve caused to so many?

Think of lost family businesses, lost years of education, lost childhood language development whose window has passed, and emotional disorders in kids who were taught to be scared of other people, or to fear that they’re killing their parents or grandparents. These grave harms don’t just magically disappear.

It isn’t true to say “we didn’t know.”

Wasn’t it Emily Oster’s job, and the job of the so-called experts, to know this type of thing before making public pronouncements or regulations?

How did the wonderful early treatment doctors know? How did the scientists who signed on the Great Barrington Declaration know? How did Dr. Michael Yeadon, Dr. Zelenko, Rabbi Yuval Asherov, Rabbi Vosner, and all those experts warning very early on about the dangers of the covid shots know?

Science? Investigation? Critical thinking?

Of course, it was G-d Who opened their eyes. But that would be because He saw that they wanted to have their eyes opened.
